Or say you're an American citizen living in this country who marries a foreigner. Normally, you would be entitled to bring your beloved to this country to live permanently and become a citizen.

The Long, Long Road
While it's great that individual states are recognizing gay marriage, we still have a long way to go. Especially on the federal level. There needs to be gay marriage on a federal level for us to fully be equal and to get the rights we deserve:
